Storm the Hill, a three year old filly by GET STORMY, got up to win the $70,000 Unzip Me Stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday going 6-1/2 furlongs on turf in 1:12.21 for Gary Barber, Silver Ranch Stable and Wachtel Stable and trainer, Peter Miller. She now has earnings of $160,995. This is the third Stakes winner for Get Stormy who now has six Stakes horses!
Tuesday was a good day for Second Crop sire, Get Stormy, as he was represented by two Maiden Special Weight winners. The first was a two year old New York bred colt, Stormy Highway, who won against open company on debut going 5-1/2 furlongs on the turf at Finger Lakes. The second was a three year old Louisiana bred gelding, Dancin in the Rain, who won against statebreds at Louisiana Downs going 1-1/16th miles on turf. Congratulations to the connections of both winners!
Change of View, a three year old gelding by Bullet Train, broke his maiden by 1-1/4 lengths on Thursday at Delaware Park going 1-1/16th on the turf.
Fifty Five, a three year old filly by Get Stormy, was all heart in the G3 Lake George Stakes at Saratoga to get up for third. She was bumped hard coming out of the gate, did not have much pace to run at, went wide around the turn and still managed to close ground for the show. Fifty Five has never been off the board in eight career starts, her record now stands at 8-3-1-4 and earnings of $227,600.
Tiz Mi Haina, a three year old filly by Tizdejavu, won a maiden special weight at Los Alamitos on Sunday in just her second start.
Twinkling Knight, a three year old colt by Tizdejavu, smoked a maiden special weight field at Lone Star by going five furlongs on turf in :56.3 to win going away by 1-1/2 lengths on Friday.
Tough Stuff, a three year old gelding from the first crop of Country Day, showed speed as he finished an off the turf five furlong sprint in :57.2 at Indiana on Thursday. He won the race by 4-3/4 lengths.
Stormy Sailor, a three year old gelding from the first crop of Get Stormy, won a Maiden Special Weight going one mile on turf at Canterbury on Thursday.
Country Dreamin, a three year old filly from the first crop of Country Day, won an Allowance at Indiana Downs on Wednesday going six furlongs on dirt. She picked up $20,700 for the win and now has a record of 7-2-2-1 and earnings of $48,970.
