2016 STALLION OPEN HOUSE

Crestwood Farm will host their annual Stallion open house for breeders on Sunday, January 10th, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at their stallion barn on Spurr Road in Lexington, Ky. Crestwood is excited to welcome JACK MILTON to their roster, the only Grade one winning son of War Front to retire to stud in 2016.

Breeders are encouraged to register in person for the 2016 FREE season raffle for each stallion. Food and drinks will be served in a heated tent. For additional information on the Stallion Roster or for directions to the farm; please visit the farm’s website at www.crestwoodfarm.com.

GRADE 1 WINNING MILER JACK MILTON RETIRING TO CRESTWOOD FARM IN 2016!

Grade I winning miler Jack Milton, by War Front, will enter stud at Pope McLean’s Crestwood Farm in Kentucky for the 2016 season. Jack Milton raced in the silks of Gary Barber and was campaigned by Todd Pletcher. He retires sound as a Graded stakes winner at three, four, and five after 19 career starts at eleven different tracks and with earnings of $853,828. Jack Milton notched his Grade 1 win in the Keeneland Maker’s 46 Mile, captured two other Graded victories and also placed in an additional six graded Stakes, three of them Grade 1. Gary Barber and Pope McLean will stand Jack Milton in partnership in a deal brokered by McCann Bloodstock and Bluewater Farm.

Bred by Seth Hancock’s Cherry Valley Farm, Jack Milton is out of the Forty Niner mare Preserver and is a full brother to Graded Stakes winner Peace Preserver and traces to the important Claiborne mare Bourtai.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Jack Milton to Crestwood,” said Pope McLean. “He will be the only Grade 1 winning son of War Front to retire this year and he has the co-fastest Ragozin number, a 2, for any son of War Front standing at stud. He is from a huge female family and is also a very nice physical. We are confident that he will be well received by breeders.”

He will stand for a fee of $6,500 LFSN. Jack Milton will participate in the “Share the Upside” program at Crestwood Farm. Please call the farm for more information.

TWO YEAR OLD TASTE OF PARADISE STRIKES AGAIN

On Sunday, November 1st, a two year old multiple stakes placed son of Taste of Paradise, Taste’s Secret, finished 2nd in a field of 10 horses, in the Arizona Thoroughbred Breeders Association Fall Sale Stakes at Turf Paradise. This was his third stakes placed finish in six lifetime starts, as a two year old.
