TU BRUTUS TO STAND AT CRESTWOOD IN 2018

Tu Brutus (CHI), a GSW son of Scat Daddy with a blistering fast 118 beyer, will enter stud at Pope McLean’s Crestwood Farm in Kentucky for the 2018 season. Tu Brutus will be the only son of Scat Daddy to stand in Kentucky.

In 2017, Scat Daddy was the world’s leading sire of two year olds by both earnings and Grade-1 winners. The 118 beyer speed figure earned by Tu Brutus was the third highest beyer figure earned by any horse of 2017. It was also only one point off of the 119 beyer figure that Arrogate earned with his track record breaking victory in the G1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes.

“Scat Daddy has been an undeniable global force, and unfortunately was lost too soon,” Pope McLean said. “We have been looking to stand a son of his and to tap into the precocity that he passes on. Tu Brutus was a star in the making and his 118 beyer validated that he was a Grade 1 talent on dirt. He has the type of physical and conformation that everyone wants, and we believe breeders will like what they see.”

He will stand as the property of a partnership for a fee of $5,000 LFSN. He will be available for inspection at Crestwood Farm’s Stallion Open House on Sunday, January 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Please call the farm for more information.

GO NONI GO BEATS GULFSTREAM ALLOWANCE FIELD BY 6 LENGTHS

Go Noni Go, a two year old filly by GET STORMY, beat a salty Allowance field of twelve fillies on Sunday at Gulfstream Park. She now has a record of 7-2-1-1 and updated earnings of $98,645 for Three Diamonds Farm and Mike Maker. Go Noni Go was bred in Kentucky by David E. Hager II.

NEW MAIDEN WINNER FOR TASTE OF PARADISE

High Class Taste, a three year old son of Taste of Paradise, broke his maiden by 9-1/2 lengths on December 8th at Remington Park.  He soundly defeated a field of eight horses.

STORMY JUSTIN WINS AQUEDUCT MSW BY 2-1/2 LENGTHS

Stormy Justin, a two year old colt by Get Stormy, won a $55,000 NY-bred Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct on Sunday by 2-1/2 lengths going one mile on the grass.

STORM RUNNER WINS MSW ON DIRT AT CHURCHILL BY 4-1/2 LENGTHS

Storm Runner, a two year old colt by Get Stormy, won a $60,000 Maiden Special Weight on the dirt at Churchill Downs for Dale Romans and owners, Team Valor International and Gemstone Stables.

STORMCOAST WINS MSW AT CHURCHILL DOWNS

Stormcoast, a two year old gelding by Get Stormy, won a Maiden Special Weight at Churchill Downs on Thursday going 1-1/16th miles on the turf.

STORM THE HILL 3RD IN G3-AUTUMN MISS S.

Storm the Hill, a three year old filly by GET STORMY, became the third Graded Stakes horse for her sire when she finished third beaten 3-1/4 lengths in the $100,000 Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes at Santa Anita on Sunday. This was the first Graded placing earned for the Black-type winning filly of $172,995.
